Like you, TV is not a big deal for us.  I'm not pursuing the issue at full speed but I'll let you know what I decide to do.

I’ve had good luck with the below.  I have one in my Rpod and larger travel trailer.  Much better than OEM.  The output is 12v to the antenna same as the OEM.  A big plus is that it gives you an audible signal as you rotate the antenna so you can hear as it gets a stronger signal.

Larry-D,

Good stuff, issue is those of us with older PODs do not have a rotation antenna. We have a simple batwing. Signal strength is what we got and not adjustable with azimuth, I thought about it and concluded I can't change it anyway.

Larry-D,

I think for the older PODs the only way to positive effect is to upgrade the system, directional versus Omni and ability to fine tune. Possibly a satellite mobile or fixed. Haven't seen a lot of feedback from the folks with new systems, and every year technology gets better. I'm reasonably assured mine is amped as much is it can amp with present antenna.
