Topic: Refrigerator problem Posted: 16 Apr 2018 at 9:55pm |
we purchased a used 179 in October. The dealer had the refrigerator working during the walk through. We brought it home, plugged in to shore power and winterized it. I started making mods and changes. I have done a lot of 12volt additions and had both the batteries and the shore power off and on several times . Always been plugged in to shore power and batteries are 100% . I have not blown any fuses or circuit breakers.
today, i tried to start the refrigerator for the first time. I know the propane is full and turned on. There is 122volts at the AC Plug and 12volts on the DC side of the refrigerator. The stove a nd heater work fine. When I tried to srt it, there is zero response-no lights, sounds or flashing error messages. There is no illumination on any of the buttons. It seems like the refrigerator is not hetting power. Is there a reset switch or sequence with the control buttons. Are there any internal fuses in the back panel of the refrigerator? Any ideas? Thanks for any help Vann |

Did you just press or press and hold the power button? You may need to press and hold it for a second or two until it responds.

With my camper (2017 182g) I find the refrigerator is very sensitive to the camper being level. I'm sure one of the more experienced posters on here will probably have a better idea.

If holding the power button down for a few seconds doesn't solve the problem look for 12v issues. The fridge control board is powered by the battery regardless of how you're trying to cool the fridge.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have done all of them and stillno referigerator. I have spoken with a mechanic at the dealer on several occasions. They have tried to help as I am about 2.5 hours away. I have checked all fuses and breakers, touched every wire in the back and under the front panel to ensure a tight connection, double checked both shore power and 12volt power, talked to Dometic , looked at about a dozen You tybe videos and finally made a service appointment.
I suspect a bad circuit board or some other electronic malfunction. I will find out next week. I will report back.thanks again Vann
