I have a 2014 182G and I plugged a small inverter into the 12 Volt lighter plug that is on the same wall as the TV and all was good until I plugged a Cordless Electric Kettle, 1-3/4 Qt, 8-7/8Hand now the 12 Volt plug does not work. I checked all the fuses and they all look good. Does anyone know if this plug has it's own fuse, maybe on the back of it?

Check the fuses again with a multimeter. That kettle is rated at 1500W, which is 125A @ 12V. I would be really surprised if the fuse didn't blow. The only way that's going to work is to wire a socket directly to the battery, and then the battery isn't going to last very long.

Hoo boy. Yeah. Even if you had a big enough fuse, and big enough wire. Your battery(ies) won't last long with that kind of load.

There might be a fuse in the 12 volt plug of your inverter that may have blown.

I thought about that after I replied. BTW, you'd also need at least a 1500W inverter. |

Thanks everyone. I am going to check the fuses with a multimeter and go from there. I just ordered the BESTEK 200W Power Inverter that I want to plug into this 12 volt plug so I can charge my cell phone and use the TV when we don't have hook-ups.

Not to mention you'd need something like 2 AWG wire feeding that inverter.

Why not just use a tea kettle on the stove?

You don't need an inverter to charge cellphone - I installed one of these and it works great:
