We're installing a unique table mounting device in our 179 to replace the cumbersome leg system that comes with the Pod.  I saw it on a FB group for podders.  It's made by Lagun.  When installed, the table top will be able to rotate 360 degrees around a plate mounted under the table top, connected to 2 perpendicular rods, one horizontal the other vertical. The vertical rod inserts into a mounting bracket on a vertical space under the edge of the sofa in the 179, or whatever vertical component is near the place where the table will be used.

Pretty sure this written description is confusing, so you can see a demonstration on You Tube.  Search for Lagun Space Saving Frame Demonstration.  You'll notice the narrator has a British accent, and that's because Lagun apparently is a British company.  However, we received our order within 3 days.

Check it out!

What does that do to the ability to use the dinette as a bed?

I don't think you could use the table in the same way as with the original legs.  In the original Facebook source I saw the Lagun leg was just part of a larger project of revamping the sofa.  It included a wooden platform that pulled out from under the sofa seat, so the table top wasn't part of the bed.  We don't need the sofa as a bed, so it's not a concern to us.  We'll save the original legs to offer whenever we sell this Pod.
