Thank you. It will be slow as he has congestive heart failure to deal with also. However, he is much improved over how he was when we first got here.

We love our table but not the cushions arrangement. Have plans to re-do that area but keeping the table. For those of you though who aren't using yours, you've probably figured out by now how sturdy they are so if you don't want your table at all, think about who you know who sews. The table that came with our 179 is great for putting a sewing machine on, both stability-wise and size-wise.

We move dinette table outside under rDome when setting up. All our living is out of doors when camping. Frees up interior space. I like how table stores when traveling. Becomes great base to store stepladder when travelling, bungy corded to table base.

Now that we have had a good chance to test our new table arrangement (dual pillars instead of the high/low mechanism), I can say that I am glad I made the change. It is much nicer to have the full bench seat available when the slide is retracted.

We put dinette table outside under rDome when setting up. We spend all of our time outside, not in the camper. This frees up interior space immensely. When traveling with dinette table strapped upside down on bench, it becomes great place to stow our stepladder, bungy corded horizontally strapped to table legs. I continue to take it with us in case we need to accommodate a 3rd person to sleep.

That is the beauty of my mod. With the cushions I made and the slide-out support, the dinette becomes an actual 3/4 width bed without having to deal with small, thin cushions that slide around too easily or dealing with where to place the two bulky end cushions when one wants to use the dinette as a bed. The table still supports the middle section. It is just easier now.
