That is stange.  When we lower the slide the temperature does come down.  Must be something wrong with whatever switch the slide control operates and it is locked on the coldest setting.

I have removed everything from the fridge and freezer, and turned it off to defrost. I'm going to start from scratch with the thermistor set at low, and try to work up? Maybe it will make a difference. I think i'm going to order a battery operated fan also, to move the air around? I emailed dometic also and i'll see what they say. I had a gallon bottle of water in the fridge, sitting dead center, and its halfway frozen. I cant even believe im having a problem with an R.V. fridge being  " to cold"

If the fridge is freezing a jug of water in the center its just plain too cold, a fan isn't going to make it warmer in there. I like your idea of starting with a warm fridge and  the temp setting high and  then slowly working your way down in temp. Melting 32 degree ice to make 32 degree water takes 144 btu per lb while it takes only 1 btu per lb of water to warm it one degree. In other words, once you freeze water its really hard to unfreeze it so better to defrost completely and start over.

Just as a reminder, the fridge in the 195 has no user operable temperature control. it's "automatic"...

Yes unfortunately that is true. We have the little slide only. Dometic contacted me and said it might need a new thermistor, or board, so I'm going to let them take over the problem. I will make do until they authorize a repair. I just hope it doen't get " fixed " and i'm here asking for help trying to get the damn fridge colder!! LOL

Seriously? A fridge you can't adjust? That just seems silly to me.

If the temp monitor is really just a thermistor you could probably add a potentiometer either in series or parallel with it (depending on whether the thermistor has a positive or negative temperature coefficient). That would make it adjustable.
