An enlightening mod.
As for a hot tub, I'd rip out the dinette.

Voisj, thanks for the detailed instructions and photos for installing the light switches inside the door. I was inspired (and able, thanks to you!) to do the same. Much more convenient getting in and out of the trailer, and you made me look like a hero to the wife!

Nice! Glad I could help.
You're the first to let me know they did it!
Was it a 180? and did you have any issues we should know about? Were the circuts the same; bath lights with fan , front lights with slideout? I did rewire the slideout relay to the sink light, It turns out the slider is on its own circuit they just used the front light for relay switching power, not really an issue though. rgds John

Yup, ours is also a (2017) RP-180. As far as I can tell, circuit groups are the same as what you've outlined above, but the numbering is different on my mine. I only installed a 2-switch unit, connected to fuses 5 & 6 (hoping for overhead/dinette and sink based on your notes). But #6 turned out to be the other overheads, bed area, and outside light on mine instead of the sink--I assume also the slide, although I didn't test that. Simple to change by switching to fuse #7.
Also, I installed the switch lower on the back of the dinette bench than you did--partly because there's more space to run the wiring and recess the switch than up inside the narrow seat back, and partly so the switch would be at my wife's arm-level when stepping up into the R-Pod or reaching in from outside at ground level. I did take your good advice about using a utility knife vs. a saw. |

TylerK9,
My wife's favorite is the bathroom light, but it would be a little awkward bending down to turn them on.We went round and round on switch location and she placed them where she liked it best. So now it's easy for you to just try any light circuit by just moving a few wires. rgds John |

Suelyn,
Click the slopodmods link down by my signature, and then go to page 2 near the bottom.you will see the nutzert tool i used. But then I replaced them with these well nuts which worked much better. I got mine at ACE hardware I just drilled into the studs and slipped them in.
