It sure would be nice to know the details, just for safety. We have gone out for the afternoon and left the air on low to keep the POD from getting real warm. Now I wonder if that is a wise thing to do. Goose |

It sounds like noone was hurt, which is the most important thing. Hopefully the r-pod's insured.

X2
It could have been caused by a number of things and I have not heard of this before, regarding the A/C units. Hopefully, this is a rare and isolated case.

I thought it may not of been the AC but a fire inside and the heat trapped and vented out the roof through the AC. Maybe the fire was started from something else inside the trailer. Does that sound possible what ever it was I hope no person or animal was hurt. David and Danette

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps the people left something on the stove and left the camper forgetting to turn the thing off. I did that at home once not too long ago...I was making steel cut oatmeal for breakfast, which takes forever to cook. I was planning on taking it with me as we were meeting up with a friend to go see Tron. I get to the movie theatre, start watching the movie, and realize that my stomach was growling. I sat there thinking to myself how I shouldn't be hungry as I had oat...crap. Thankfully, the oatmeal was on low when we left and the pan was rather cooked when we got back home, but stuff like that can and does happen and can start a fire. I can remember getting close to home and seeing the house about a mile out still standing. I would have been crushed if the house burned down, but I'd feel even worse if something happened to the two kitties. Let's hope that nothing bad happened other than the trailer. Trailers, like houses, can be replaced. A life cannot. Tim
