Topic: Television iPhone link Posted: 29 Mar 2021 at 3:52pm |
Is it possible to broadcast off your iPhone to your Television and watch movies, sports, etc. ? I can do it on my home television but it is a smart TV.

I bought a cable that connects my Android smartphone to the HDMI input on the TV. Works great...just make sure that you get one that also allows simultaneous charging.

We use an I Phone and a special cable to connect to our tv in the Pod.it works great.
The cable is a "Apple Lightning Digital AB Adapter-Lightning to HDMI Adapter" from WalMart. here is the link

You wont be able to stream to that tv, you will need an hdmi cable and a lightning to hdmi adapter as suggested by PodPeople. Or I guess you could connect an apple tv or roku to the tv and stream to that via a wifi router. But the rpod is small enough that the hdmi cable works well, that's what I use too.

I have that adapter but lost the power cord. It is the old version and worked on my TVs at the house. It was not the power cord that came with the iPhone.

Are you sure you don't mean you lost the hdmi cable? The adapter I have has a lightning connector for the iPhone on one end and another lightning port and an hdmi port on the other.
That way you can charge the phone using the standard iphone lightning cable while sending video to the tv, but you only need the adapter and an hdmi cable for it to work (till the phone battery dies).

No. I had/HDMI cables. The instructions state to plug it up. Flash to iPhone and HDMI to TV. The old one had a power cable.

Yep, it's Basically just a little splitter. Apple makes a ridiculous amount of money on this stuff. $40 plus for Apple's, $14 for chinese copy, but Apple works hard to keep those from working. Might try buying the cheap one on the 'Zon and returning it if it doesn't work.
