Anyone had issues with the roofing side band that covers the screws on the edge of the roof? How do I repair this?

If it is the strip that covers the screws only, that requires replacing you can measure the width of the gap it fills and either buy replacement at your local rv dealer (probably same quality?) Or look it upon Amazon and find better quality for less or same price.

I have heard often of the lousy stripping shrinking, cracking and splitting so better quality sounds good to me, I will be ordering some once I get my trailer and measure for the width I will need to replace what it comes with.

Good luck,

Totally normal.

It's a standard maintenance item that you will need to do periodically.

You might also want to check the screws underneath and replace them with stainless steel ones.

I went to YouTube looking for Insert Trim for RVs and found some people didn't like certain brands, so I went to Amazon and EBay and found a place that would send a sample of colors and sizes ( about 6") for just a few $.  I then went with the double lip Insert Trim for RV but cant remember the size.  Getting samples makes for a good fit. Mine is now 2 yrs old, dont see any of the cracking down the middle. I got black and looks like this.

You can Google RV vinyl trim on Amazon to fine it and read reviews before ordering. One package replaced all the inserts on our 2016 179. Don’t forget to replace the strip over the slide keder rail. If screws look rusty, replace the with stainless steel ones at the same time and us a little dab of urethane caulk (look in cement aisle at lumber yard)in each screw hole before putting new ones in. We did this last year and did find a few screws that were failing and would have eventually caused wall failure. You can buy screws at a local Ace type hardware store. Just take one with you and make sure new ones are stainless.

Does anyone know what width to buy?   The two Amazon links in this thread show a 1” and a 3/4 “ width?

Width is 1".  Purchased my 100 ft. roll on ebay for $ 15.95.  A better quality at a good price, and as always on ebay, free shipping w/o paying extra as Amazon requires.
