I'll take a pic when I get home tonight, but..... (Unless yours is not like mine......)
The TV out is the RCA jack. All by itself, above everything else, right side of inside of TV hole. Put one end of the yellow RCA cable into that and the other end into the back of the TV. The red and white cables (attached to the yellow) are not used....
Not intuitive, I know...... But think about how I figured it out.... First night ever in a camper, in the dealers lot (planning on signing papers in the morning), with my 5 year old wanting to watch Ice Age before going to bed, and I am an engineer (I have 'the knack' and should know how to hook this up)....

So I feel like a total dink, the tv out looked like a cable hook up so I never even tried that

Any thoughts on how to set the tv up so you can travel with it in the cubby and not packing it up, I'm thinking metal strapping for plumbing

That is my project for the weekend!!! I was thinking a number of options (not listed in any particular order). The first one is similar to yours, I think.
Or my actual favorite, but would require quite a bit more work:

Hi There,
I'm a new 176T owner and followed your (E-Train) instructions for hooking up the DVD player to the TV. When i insert the DVD into the slot (there is no drawer in our model), the player accepts the DVD and then spits it out. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
Thanks,
