I posted a question in cooking with gas, but might not get found there.

If anyone knows how to do biscuits in a small cast iron dutch oven with lid, using the stove eye inside the Pod, would you please share the info with me.
The flame only goes down so much and I have heard you actually kind of saute the biscuits. how to keep from burning, using one of the cast iron grids used on gas stoves inside house???
I am not building a fire outside OR taking a propane stove and little oven..
only thing other than that might be my little propane "campfire" and someplace I have one of the fold out ovens. But this is getting pretty much to do if the weather is really cold out!

Thanks ahead if any one knows how to or Has suggestions on how too!

One way that I have done it in the past is to place a trivet inside on the bottom of the dutch oven, and then put the biscuits in a disposable aluminum pan that will fit inside and put the lid on it.  By raising it up and off of the bottom you create a mini-oven environment that helps to keep the biscuits from burning on the bottom.  Preheat it so that it is hot inside the "oven" before putting the biscuits in, and keep checking until they are done.

i plan to try it in a small cast iron dutch oven with lid. the flame will not overheat the cast iron, I know I dry my cast iron by putting it over gas flame, but not for a long time. I guess by preheating all that cuts the cook time down some? If water is put in bottom that would only "steam" the biscuits, right?

Correct, water would only steam them and then you'd have soggy biscuits.  Ick.  The pre-heating does cut down on the cook time and provides a little bit better level of overall heat circulation, but the key is to get the pan of biscuits off the bottom with a trivett or anything else that allows for an air pocket.  It is the air that gets heated and circulates to cook the bisuits.

OK got that... IF we are not knee deep in snow i may get out at end of week and will really try this method. I have the cast iron trivit and even a mini-potpie tin would do the trick! I just love to find out ways to do some of the things with what I have!   thank you for information.
hope wherever you are you are safe from the stormWink
