I have been looking for a cover that would fit my 20ft 2014 R-Pod 178. The ones that I have found are $400 and that seems high as the earlier model R-Pods have covers available on the internet for as little as $129. Anyone have any ideas or leads for a more reasonable purchase option?

Yes the rumor is out there.

www.classicaccessories.com

I'm currently emailing and trying to get confirmation of a larger cover option release later this year from them.  Will update if I hear anything.  I would very much like a less expensive cover option for my 181g as well!

I would like to know the difference in the weight of the canvas of the factory cover vs. the aftermarket one. We spent the big dollars when we ordered our POD for the factory cover and now considerate money well spent, after three years there are no signs of wear at all. The color has faded on the outside of the cover to a gray but it has done a great job of keeping the trailer looking like new. I don't tie it down in the summer as it only takes about 10 minutes to put it on or take it off, in the winter I use 4 rubber straps to keep the wind from getting under it. Goose

I don't know the weight of the canvas, but I know ours is the Northern Tool cover, and after 2 winters, seems like new. I could weigh the whole cover.. lol (it's not canvas if the factory one is.. it is some kind of nylon, like a regular car cover.

The factory one is canvas, that could be the price difference. Only time will tell which holds up the best. Goose

Thank you all for the info on a cover to fit a RP178 that I just purchased last month. I did not respond to comments as I was on a 3300 mile 3 week trip to Seattle, and just returned to Phoenix Az. yesterday. The R-Pod had a few minor problems and the gas that my 5.4, F-150 Ford was a very disappointing at 11.4 gallons per mile. My Wife liked the R-Pod, though she said you have to go outside to change your mind. It certainly got a lot of attention on the road. I will keep looking for a cost effective way to cover the trailer and will advise if I find on priced right.

I've heard of that before....  This cabin is so small you have to go outside just to be able to change your mind.
