This weekend was the first time we have stayed at a campground. Turned the water heater on for a few hours then I tried to shower for the first time. I turned the water on, was warm, so did not have to turn the cold on at all. Then as I started to shower the water would turn to cold then warm and back again.
1) should the water be hotter?
2) any ideas on why the water temp would flucuate?

Your winterization valves are set wrong. They are all set to flow.. Go to the back of the water heater, to where the bypass valves are, and the center valve should be set to "closed".

You can search winterization here to find the valve location if needed.

I agree, this is always the problem when someone has these symptoms.  The valves are closed when the handle is perpendicular to the pipe.

I knew that had been mentioned in here and have been meaning to do a search. Mine does the same thing so tomorrow I will check this out because I'll bet I did all open.
have also been meaning to check out TV reception posts. Even with the booster on, I seem to not be getting many if any stations. At the park I am in, others tell me they can pick up lots of local channels but I'm not getting any. However there is a tall camper beside me and everyone says that's the direction of the signal. But since I have not been getting much at other places I've stayed, I'm wondering if I have a loose connection or something. Is there a way to add something that acts as an antenna other thanthe antenna on the roof?,

We lost our reception for the TV this fall, just did not pick up anything where it had worked fine in the past.....Traced it down to the cable that goes in at the back of the TV, it had pulled out of the connector.....Because that is the wire that I have been hanging the wind chime on when we travel for the last 3 years....Needless to say that the wind chime now hangs elsewhere when on the road. When our TV reception went to nothing I learned that the light on the antenna amp is also a switch.  Push the light and it goes on and so does the amp.  That is the first place to look if you haven't already.

yeah turning the booster on when I setup is part of my checklist. It is on. Just checked the cable to the back of the TV and re- tightened it.so either this other camper is blocking the signal or could there be something loose on top of the camper? It has just happened so often that I don't get anything that I'm beginning to wonder.I guess I could google this but is there an antenna that could connect to the back of the TV and run out the window to a clear spot like my satellite radio does?

bTW, I turned that valve on the back of the water heater and now I have really hot water all the time. I think it has pulsed the whole time I've had the camper and even though I knew I had seen something about it in the form, I guess it was the right time to take care of it :-)

Thumbs Up

Hot showers, and cold a/c is why we have a camper.
