Hi All -

We're looking at purchasing an RP-179. One of the units does not have the Jensen LCD TV installed and the dealer would have to mount it.

Is the TV normally mounted/installed by the dealer, or are some models just equipped that way from the factory?

I assume it really doesn't make a difference whether its dealer installed or done by FR, but wanted to check.

Thanks.

We have a 179 and the TV was mounted.  The mount they use has no up/down movement just side to side.  We replaced our mount with a full motion mount

Great tip on the mount. Thanks.

Does the 19" feel big enough, or would something a little larger be better (say 22").

The 19" is okay for us.  It's just the two of us and we don't watch alot of TV

I wish my 179 didn't have the TV already-  the mount FR uses is lousy since, as mentioned, one can't tilt the antenna for proper viewing angle when lying in bed.
Even worse the FR supplied TV is 110 V ONLY, doesn't work on 12V.    I could have DIY'd a better system for half the money- caveat emptor.

How did the replacement mount look covering up the holes from the factory mount?
