Can anyone tell me the difference between a R pod and a R pod hood edition....

The Hood River edition has axel risers, bigger tires. That's just 2 of the differences. I have the Hood River R177 and love it. Also the decals are different.

A note that the axle riser can be added to the regular pods (pre and post assembly).  As far as I know the wheels of all pods are aluminum and always have been.

The HRE the rims are 15" vs 14".

I understand they are bigger, I was just commenting on the item above that says "aluminum rims".
