The shower is very close to where the power cord plugs in .Is this a possible safety issue??

Shouldn't be a problem. The power cable has a threaded screw on connection with a cap and seal. If installed properly it should be water and rain proof. That said, it would be prudent to avoid getting it wet or putting a direct spray on it from the shower.

I saw couches video on the 179 and thought why would they put the power cord plug so close to a shower .  They must have some kind of code they have follow when building these things .  thank you for your input
