Dang, broken cover...shoot! Well, my POD is in storage so I can't inspect it, but is should be pretty straight forward.
Any chance you can post a pic?
Is there any way to replace just the cover without getting into replacing the entire plate?
I think the key here is understanding how it is attached to the wall of the POD. It could be held on by wing tabs or it could be pressed into sealant or both. The challenging part of this job is getting it off there. Once you have it removed all you should find on the inside is the 1 or 2 cable (RG6) connection(s) screwed to the back. So at that point its just probably a 7/16 wrench to disconnect then then reconnect to the new place.
Does anybody out there know how the outside service plates are attached to the POD?
Anyway I would say once you understand how they are affixed, this is certainly a DYI project. There is no power or critical components to contend with. The connections there are simply an access and feed-point to connect services that run via cable up to the HDTV plate inside the POD.
Good luck, come on back and let us know how it turns out!
