Topic: To cover or not to cover. Posted: 21 Jul 2015 at 7:22pm |
I live in a moderately snowy area and am wondering if I should cover the pod for the winter. Is there a general consensus on covering? Any specific brand? I had a pop up trailer that I bought a cover for and it literally disintegrated after just a few seasons. Waste of money that I don't want to repeat. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

We have had a Pod for over 6 years and do not cover it, I will brush the snow off on a regular basis.
Havent had any problems with the roof, calking or seals.

Agreed. I've got the pod tucked on the north side of my house, but I still worry about the plastics on top like to AC unit. I know you can get AC covers. Maybe I'll just cover that.

We like to use a cover, in our area the sun can be brutal! Of course if it ever rains in California again i think the cover will be a good idea. It should also keep the graphics from fading.

We have a 179 and I like to keep it covered winter and summer. I have know problems getting the snow off in the winter months and I just keep the windows open during the summer with the cover on. It works for me.

If you covered it, it would smell like cut bait all the time. Not that that is such a bad thing...just saying. I do cover mine in winter just cuz it sits under a bunch of pine trees. fred

So you're saying covering might induce odors?
