I just bought a 2010 172 that is in very good condition. Bought it from a friend who takes very good care of all of his toys and equipment, much to my good luck. I am in the process of inspecting it, going over it, learning how all of the equipment works, etc.. Can someone out there tell me where the converter is located? I think I have just about checked everything out, but I don't know where the converter is located. Any advice will be greatly appreciated...

The converter is below the fridge behind the fuse panel.

You will need to remove the door/front housing from the power distribution center, (2 screws), your converter/charger is located in the bottom half of the center.. Here is a picture, but this is not the same converter you will have. Mine has been upgraded. But the WFCO one is similar looking..

Just be careful of the live connections when the cover is off like that.
