Sorry, I know nothing about a traverse. But---I've been married for 51 years, and taught school for 33 years. I do know about commitment AND frustration. Therefore I too am a Cubs fan! Next year for sure, huh?

I took a quick look at the towing capacity of a Traverse. Looks like only 2000lbs. Probably not a suitable TV.  Look in the manual that came with your vehicle. Should confirm towing capacity along with tonge weight capacity.

Tow capacity of the Traverse is 5200 lbs with tow package. Just curious as to experience of others with 179 pod.

You should be ok. Might labor a bit when hitting hilly terrain.  Keep in mind you will be loading up supplies which adds to your total combined weight.

We tow our 178 with a Traverse with tow package etc. Rated 5200 lbs.
No issues, even on NY Adirondack hills. Just don't drive in 'D'. Drive in 'L' in an appropriate gear.
Cheers,

I'll be towing a 2016 178 with a 2010 GMC Terrain with tow package.  Rated at 3500 lbs. Hopefully no issues.   (I'm a new R-pod...er)

Now towing with a 2017 Chevy Traverse 👍🏻 with tow package.
