i took trip number two this week with my new Rpod.  I set up the rdome for the first time.  I was able to set up the dome quite easily alone (yeah).  What was far harder was getting it folded up small enough and compact enough to get it back in the carry bag.  Any suggestions/tips for folding it up? Loving the Rpod so far.  Just perfect for me.

It may take two people to get it back in the bag.  W put ours up three times, the suction cups really don't work.  Any suggestions?

Also, I have found that the suction cups will not stick at all on any of the graphics.

As for 'getting the genie back in the bottle', start by folding all the screen walls back onto the top fabric.  Then double the stack over from side to side.  (Don't be afraid to bend the bead.)  Then do it again.  Using the bead as a hand hold, roll the resulting mass up.  It will fit in the storage bag- trust me- but may need some convincing to get the zippers closed.  I generally do not put the metal parts in the storage bag, but they will fit along with the tentage if you want.

When we tent camped I always laid the tent bag on the ground so that I always had an idea of what the target looked like as we began folding.

My wife and I have been packing the dome back up for years. Work pretty good as a team.  I would hate to try it alone , I am with Ron/Roscoe, though I wont get that picture out of my head for a whileDisapprove

+1

Be neat and work out any air. A ream of typing paper is about 1 1/2" high... wadded up, will fill a 55 gallon drum.
