I have a 2015 mod 179. Is there a way to manually work the slideout? No problems yet, just planning ahead in case of problems.

Here is a link to a user guide. It includes a couple of pages describing how to manually work the slide out.

Don't forget that you can also operate your slide by connecting your electrical cable to the back of your TV and starting your TV. (And if your R-Pod battery gets too low you could also re-charge it quickly by using jumper cables to your TV and letting it run for an hour or so.) That avoids having to manually move the slide.
