Glad it's worked out..as a side note, the Pod has a couple parasitic draws in it that pull power constantly. If you cannot park/store were the pod can be left plugged in, add a manual disconnect switch, or remove one of the battery clamps if the pod is going to sit longer then a week.

Everyone else, Thanks for all the great advice. We purchased another battery yesterday and the slideout is working beautifully on 12V. Because the R-Pod is new and the dealer supplied us with a "new, fully charged" marine battery when we picked it up 2 weeks ago, we were second-guessing everything. Turns out that they gave us a dud--we'll get them to replace it!

Glad it was only a dud battery. Maybe I'll see you tugging the Pod around town!

We also throw our battery on a trickle charger if we have more than a week between trips. Also keep the battery on the trickle charger over the winter.
