I purchased my 179 last June. The main door has never been a great fit. You have to slam it from the inside to get it to close. This last weekend the door locked when we shut it from the outside and wouldn't unlock with the key. I forced it open and now only have the deadbolt. Has anyone had this happen? Are the door locks I see online common for all campers? I found that the door frame is out of square and bent out by the latch to make it fit (from the factory). Any advise would be appreciated. THANKS.

Ours closes hard if the sun has been shining directly on it. You wouldn't think there'd be that much expansion, but there is.

We experienced an issue where the door wouldn't close from the inside and had to be pushed really hard on the outside. It turned out that a couple of the hinge screws for the screen door were not all the way in. I tightened them down and then could close the door from the inside.

Good tip on the hinge screw, another good item to check periodically. We're noobies and had the same problem on our 2nd trip but not as severe. I discovered I put too much pressure on the stabilizing jacks and tweaked the camper which caused the door to stick. Our first trip the week before was fine so it had to be simple. The Pod was level side to side so I re leveled it front to back and dropped the jacks just to hold steady. Bingo, the door worked fine. I'm lucky I did not force it too far and damage something. Worth checking

Good luck

That's a bummer about tweaking camper with the jacks! I found that using a drill with the clutch set very low should prevent this. As far as locks, I just got my camper and all the locks were sticky and didn't work great. I lubed all of them with lock ease graphite spray and it's a huge difference.
