Does anyone with a 179 have the PahaQue Visor? I just received mine and I’m a little underwhelmed with it.  It was easy to put up, but it looks like the support/tie down interfere with the door a little.  Does anyone have any tips or suggestions before I head out next week?  Does it handle a bit of wind ok?

In my experience, no, it doesn't handle the wind well. One of the rod segments in the "bill" of the visor broke the first time I used it.

As for clearing the door, you can extend the side rods to raise it. Just make sure that the cord is *really* tight to keep them from popping out of the pockets.

Are you able to share any pics of the visor on your 179?

If I had it to do over, I probably wouldn't have spent the money on this.  First, FS fault, I had to counter sink all the screws in the keder rail, as the visor hung up on them while trying to slide it on.  It was easy to put up, but some of the craftsman ship is lacking.  The cut off (?) where it slides into the rail is unfinished and a bit ugly - ragged material edge.  The worst part was the upright poles.  One stuck so hard I can't move it anymore.  It's trash.  And the other is sticky also.  I will need to find alternate poles.

I know if there's any chance of wind next time, I will also anchor it straight down to a deadman.  I have some other fixes I may do, since I'm sure I'm stuck with it.

It is cute though!  (Salmon River Canyon)

I agree with McCall completely (see my avatar). Not worth the money for what you get. Kind of a hassle. I wouldn't recommend it.
