There are many new types of mouse traps available from disposable to electrical. They would likely be effective and would not have the risk of a rotting mouse carcass in a hidden place.

I think there is a thread here somewhere about trailer Hot Skin. Should be some good advice there.

I've tried all kinds of traps. If you only have a few mice traps can work fine but if you have an infestation they just don't seem to kill enough mice quick enough, and the little beasties start to figure it out. The tasty warfarin gets them all right away and they're done. Hungry cats are probably best though.

Carefully inspect the whole bottom of the trailer and plug any holes you see, even really small ones. Mice can get through cracks or holes as small as 1/4 inch. like the diameter of a pencil.

Great Stuff makes a foam that is supposed to be a pest block. Steel Wool also works, although it can rust. Stainless Steel scrubbers would work well in that case.

I do not have a major issue with mice in my trailer. When I first got it I went over the bottom with Flex Seal and closed all the access holes and spaces. Worked great. I got on a creeper and went front to rear. I store it in an out building that does have mice, I also store my vintage cars there. I use small canning jars, filled with moth balls and perforate the lids. Place them in trailer and cars and the mice tend to move on, they do not like moth balls. In a closed area the scent and effect of moth balls is overwhelming. Not just to mice. Effective to bugs and other critters. Poison left me with dead mice I didn't find for months. Snakes are OK, but here in TN you are very likely to get a Copperhead with the Gophers and Kings. They eat too. My cat is reasonably effective with moles but not so much in the crannies and crevices of the shop.

Off topic but what mouse free vintage cars do you have in there?

Had to look up the C10.  Kewl truck, and only 500 made? Which paint configuration do you have? Great truck to go glamping in with a vintage trailer, or maybe even an rpod....

Sweet, Years ago I owned a '69 Corvette with hardtop/convertible.  350/350 HP high performance and 11.5:1 compression ratio.  Lots of fun to drive but was not as fast as my '64 Dodge Polara 500 with a hemi.  Wish I had the Vette now, worth a fair amount of chump change.

Offgrid/Jato,

Reply to both and apology for hijacking. The truck is Hawaiian Blue, the middle white section was eliminated years ago. The truck is modified, with engine and trans mods. The interior is original, which was the one significant difference in the "Spirits". It is an eye catcher.

The Vette I have owned 30 plus years, latest project is to restore AC. Highly optioned 350, with matching drive train. It is a coupe with removeable roof panels.

I have considered using the C10 to pull Pod, but my mileage sucks now and would be worse:) Plus I don't really want to modify the truck anymore to make it a trailering option. They are the last two cars I have left and I will miss them. Unfortunately they are holding up better than I am.
