I remember my parents 1964 Shasta had a front window and also had a plastic shield that protected it as they traveled.  Never had a breakage problem with that.  FR engineers need to find those Shasta engineers from the 1960's and find a solution to this ever growing issue.

Umm. Those Shasta engineers from the 1960’s have most likely gone on to greener pastures.

I used to design and manufacture solar modules, which use tempered glass. Sharp rocks can and will nick the glass surface and break them, and the only way to avoid that is to cover the glass with something rigid and protective that will keep rocks away from the glass. You can tell that glass is tempered if it shatters into small pieces. We had at least one member who reported tempered glass breakage on his front window.OTOH, tempered glass can take a tremendous amount of warping and twisting, way more than the trailer will survive, and not break.

The current issue wasn’t a broken glass problem though, it sounded like a double pane insulated glass unit that had lost its seal. That is a completely different issue, and could certainly be caused by flexing or vibration, nothing to do with rock chips because the glass didn’t break. So covering the front window wouldn’t solve it. This is not a one solution fits all
Issue, we need to understand and address each problem one at a time.

Appointment made. Hopefully it doesn't sit and wait forever due to supply issues. We just got it after an 8 month wait. We have only been out once.

Lots of folks waited like you for the same reason. There was a problem with leaks around the window with the first run of 195's that had'em from what I heard so we looked for an early one without. That window should not be wet or have condensation in it. Keep us posted on what you find out. Be safe.
