I have heard that comment from many podders over the years and this is my fix. Dometic installs the bi-metal switch too far away from the chimney exhaust, usually between 6th or 7th and 8th fin to the left where there are a couple inches between the first stack and second stack of cooling fins. Remove the bi-metal switch and move it to the right, to within 2" of the chimney stack. If the bi-metal switch is properly functioning and the fridge is on, I can nearly guarantee that your muffin fans will turn on within a minute. Even on our last trip I this past month we were at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP in Colorado and two other podders were discussing this problem they were having with cooling. In both cases I moved the switch and in both cases the muffin fans kicked on within 30 seconds. Both owners had the same response of "I never heard those fans come on before." By doing this simple step the fans will not only turn on but run longer, resulting in much colder interior fridge temps.
