We bought our 171 this summer.  Here are some of our decor mods:

Took out factory cornice boards & blinds.  Made curtains & installed with rod & rings.
Reupholstered kitchen cushions.  Also, made table smaller & turned into a flip down
for more leg room when not in use.

Would love to post pics....but have tried three times and they never go through.  I always get an error message.  Anybody have any hints on how to post our modification pics?

We used 1/8" hollow wall anchors to attached the shelves above the bed and they are near the windows.
The walls are made of 1/4" wall board with Styrofoam 1" thick between that and the outside wall.

Looking in the hot water tank area all the wires are along the floor and coming from the kitchen area.
We also looked at pics of other mods and no one else had any problems so we took a chance to.

Hubby likes the drain for water heater mod, and the moving the stereo up for more storage.  We have the same model pod.  We are a bit worried about making any holes into the outside walls though.  How do you know if there is any wiring or something important where you plan on mounting when on the outside walls.  Or how deep you can go?

Hello, we finally finished the mods to our 2015 171, lets us know what you think Smile

Outside = hubby made a drain for hot water tank (got tired of getting wet when draining it) Censored
FYI When we first drained it we found water backing up inside the water tank compartment. So we resealed the seam you see under the tube. No more water backup.

Inside = Added knife rack, range cover, paper towel holder and wall decorations.

Moved radio up and gained additional storage shelf (netting from Walmart)

Changed Table leg to pedestal from (camping world), gives more leg room

Added shelves above bed for clothing storage (racks from Lowes)

4.  Took off the factory cornice board & blinds in bedroom.  I made coordinating bedroom curtains &
installed with bronze rod & curtain rings for easy opening/closing.
I have been trying to figure out what they call that stuff, cornice board. Any chance we could see some pics of the new curtain set up?
