The toilet paper "thingie" is an over the  tank toilet paper holder- available at many home improvement stores, Walmart & amazon. Many different styles available

[QUOTE=ilovecamping]These are the modifications that's been done so far to our 2014 178 R-Pod.

Built drawer in lower cabinetdrawer_closed.jpgdrawer_open.jpg

Would love details of this mod- we've been talking about adding a drawer here as well- gather you made it your self- is it on tracks?

thanks Nancy

Yes we made it ourselves. It has drawer slides like the other 2 drawers.

To our 2014 177:

Extra battery
e2 stabilizer
Power Jack
Coupler Lock
6 foot ladder shelf from window valence to window valence over the table.  Put 4 large wicker baskets on it for storage

AC plug in adapters with USB ports that increase the AC  plug ins from two to three
added a small portable domestic ice maker
a raised wooden cover over stove
over the door coat racks (outside) - over the rack toilet paper holder and towel holder (inside)
corner tension pole shelf placed at the corner of the bed near the bathroom
replaced the table legs with two pedestal legs
placed a pull out makeup mirror on the curb side of the entertainment center
replaced the mattress
replaced the bench cushions with a firmer cushion
use a portable surge protector
use a 2000 Honda generator
added a spice rack over microwave
velcro on entertainment center for remote
added large decorative pillows for bed and bench.  Better for lounging.
added to DC plugs, one next to AC plug on bed side (for my CPAP)  the other next to the AC plug on the bench (For computers and a DC Fan]

added key holder and Dog Leash holders near the door

under table drawer from camping world
added a black rubber door sweep to the  bottom edge of the cabinet to eliminate the large opening when the slide out is extended....preventing dog bones, balls,  toys etc from sliding under it.

We were going to buy a longer sewer storage container but have found the current one with a 6 foot collapsible hose works just fine.

Will post pictures of some of these mods soon.

Podding from Montana and loving it!

Just got mine a week ago. I did the following:
  • Changed all the lights to LED's
  • Change the table support to single post
  • Change the latches at the bottom bunk
  • Install 2 scissor jacks on the front (2009 R-Pods do not have front jacks)
  • Install a own lift kit - 4" raise - http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4745&title=30-lift-kit
  • Build a rack for dual battery
  • Upgrade to class 27
  • Install the support for dual propane tanks and install an auto regulator
  • Build a rack for the generator
  • Mount the sway ball on the trailer tongue
Some pics

2008 Nissan Xterra built up - too much to list

First time RV Camper - this better be good

We are getting the Axle Risers installed tomorrow; planning on putting larger, 15" wheels on our 2014 178. Anyone see a problem with putting the larger wheels with the lift kit?

I don't see a problem with the 15's.
I much prefer 15's because they are way more common if one has to buy a tire on the road...
