We did see techntrek's info in the instruction manual he's put together about the "mound of stuff" that can end up "drying rock solid" near the drain pipe.

The question is this - if that is what we indeed might have - how do we get rid of it?

Any good solutions for a black tank that's not draining? 
Never had this problem before, but this is also the first time that we've been in it this long. 
Normally our trips are 2-4 days. This trip has been 14 days and won't be done for at least another 6-7. 
DH said it's not in the pipe that goes from the toilet down around 20 in. because he stuck his whole arm in there. (eew)
He says that black tank must be completely full and isn't draining at all. 
He's been working on this for over 3 hours.
Any suggestions welcome - please help?
