Howdy!.  Jim and Sindy here from Arkansas, the southern slopes of the Ozark hills.  Yesterday we brought home a 2014, 178!  It's 4 years old but nearly new, I don't know who used it and for what but it still has most all the tags and stickers on everything, the tires still have "tire hair" on them.

We are happy about our find and now have it set up and plugged in in the yard trying to figure out how everything works.  I'm hoping it didn't sit up too long to make things not work as they should.

I'm happy to know this forum exists, good to know us "podders" can enjoy our pods as a group.  I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions and be asking the advise from you who have much more experience than us.

Thanks,
JIM
p.s.  I saw a thread where someone was having trouble downloading a picture.  Well I can't figure out how to do it either :-{

Jim and Sindy, welcome and best of luck with your pod.  Sounds like you got a nice deal.
As for pictures, I can't figure it out either and don't like storing all my pictures on a public web site so that I can post one from time to time in a forum such as this.

Good morning!
We just purchased a new 178 and will be taking delivery in a couple of weeks.  Just sold our old tent trailer this week and we're definitely ready for the "upgrade".  We are planning an overnight trip two days after delivery!!
This is a great forum and lots of information and there are some great modifications people have done to their units.

Enjoy!

Congrats! Sounds like you got a find! We're still very happy with our '14 178.

As far as the picture thing goes, if you can navigate to the picture in your web browser, you can embed it in your post. It's called a "direct image link." If it's an image on your computer, phone or tablet you can use a service like http://imgur.com

I use my own private service, but here's a quick tutorial on how to use http://imgur.com

1) From the front page of imgur, click "New Post"

2) Browse to or drag your image to upload:

3) Now, you can go right to getting a link to post or you can edit the image. In this case, I will make the image a tad bit smaller so it will won't be so huge when I post it. Let's select the "Edit Image" field.

4) I will resize the image proportionally so it is no wider than 400 pixels:

5) I hit "Apply" and "Save" which returns me to step #3. Now I click "Get Share Links" which brings up these options:

6) Copy the BBCode (Forums) code. It looks like:

 That's your picture.

Now, to put the image in a post like this, all I have to do is paste that line into my post. You can use the "Preview Post" button to see what it looks like before posting. This is it:

That's the easiest way. There are other ways I would be happy to explain, but I think this is the easiest way to post an image here.

Another method is to use a direct link to an image and then use the "Insert Image" button above:

If I know where the image is on the web and I see it with my web browser this method works well. For this demo, I will use the same image but from a different server. I have a link to the image => http://grafiks101.com/pod/dawg.jpg

Now, to get the image in the post, I'll use the "Insert Image" button. First, place the curser where you want the image and then click the button. That brings up the "Image Properties" window.

Click the "Preview" button and it will show you a preview of the image as well as the width and height. I generally do not like images posted larger than 600 pixels wide, so I will resize the image here. If it's not a square image, you need to do a little math to make the image proportional. For this demo, I'll keep it small and set the width and height to 200. I click "OK" and the image appears where my curser was. Magic!

All the images I used in this tutorial can be found here if you want to play around:

Hope that helps! If it does, I'll refine it a bit and post it in a place a bit more obvious.

2014.. tires may have hair on them.. but doesn't mean they are still good. Check the build date on the sidewalls.

and welcome to the group. Wink
