Our Independence day trip just completed consisted of a 500+ mile trip from central GA across SC to mid NC and back.
Tv was an '06 Tacoma w/V6 hauling a 2017 Rpod 180. No WDH employed. And while we prefer to keep to surface roads, we did put down some interstate mileage. The V6 performed admirably and the ride was solid, even at interstate velocity. |

I just picked up our 2017 RP-178 and have a Santa Fe XL with a 6cyl and AWD as the TV (see "What's pulling your Rpod" discussion for image). Equipped with a Husky WDH and anti-sway bar and it towed very well on what was a very windy day across a couple of high freeway bridges. First time towing it but it was stable and the TV had plenty of power to keep my speed.
If you already pulled the trigger on it, I hope you enjoy!! K&S

Thanks for the replies. Guess most owners r happy with their trailers. I have towed boats from 13ft-25ft that weighed 8-9000 lbs. why do many suggest the weight distributing hitch and anti sway bars? I have never had a problem towing a boat. Just hitch them up and go.

We're fairly certain that our 2010 Tacoma would pull it fine as well (it also has the tow package and the 4L V6), but oddly we've only ever pulled it with the F-150. The Tacoma is almost 2' shorter, so it would be easier to maneuver as well.

Yes has v6 and tow package. I tow my 18ft cc boat that weighs at least 3,000 lbs no problem.

I don't know about pricing. You could check on RV Trader (www.rvtrader.com) to see what prices you can find there for comparison. You also don't say what tow vehicle you are going to be using. That would be good to know.
