Our new 171 has a bubble in the ceiling over the bed.

It is pushed out right at the seam. The dealer has a new panel on order.

However, I can push on the panel at the seam and flatten it, and it seems like there is a stud there.

For now, can I drive a trim nail up there and keep it tight?

If it looks good enough, I am wondering if that could be the final fix, because I am not crazy about the dealer ripping out the panel (which goes over the bathroom partially and cabinets).

Sorry, no pic, maybe I can post one later today.

CC,
That is what I would do, Get a good quality stud finder and re-nail it. they use small staples from a staple gun and could have barely hit the joist. My wonder is why the dealer ordered a new panel and that they know something you don't and are not telling you?
cheers, John

When I showed it to them, they just said, ok we will order a new panel.

How long of a nail do you think is safe to use? And am I shooting into aluminum?

From what I've seen on The Forest River Manufacturing video it's wood joists inch and a half by inch and a half.and I would shoot half inch staples. Just Google Forest River r-pod factory tour and you'll see the video.

Ok, there are two guys on the roof in the video I will no longer worry about being on the roof for maintainance. And they don't show how the center section is made, Wood or aluminum?
