I bought the Firman W03083, 3000-3300 watt portable inverter gen with manual/electric/remote starting for $749 online with free shipping.  This is the size recommended for 13,500 A/Cs.  Never have to worry about having it start the the AC repeatedly in hot weather with high head pressure (constant restarts of the compressor before it has time to bleed down is a problem with ACs in hot weather).  Plus it's beautiful!  Also it has a 30 amp plug and can run two together with a parallel cable.

Also looking at the Ryobi 2300 w/bluetooth. $400 less than the Honda. Anyone have experience with the Ryobi?

15A to 30A adapter. I use one of them with our Generac iX2000. I bought one similar to the one in the link and use a heavy-duty extension cord to run from the generator to the adapter. It works out well as the extension cord I use is lighter than the 30A cord. If I have shore power, I use the 30A cord, but for the generator, this is easier.

It seems like this is the go-to generator, but it doesn't have a 30A outlet. So how do you charge? Dogbone?
