If you get the EU2000i Companion model, it has a 30A marine socket on it that can be easily adapted to an RV socket. We have one regular and one Companion that we run in parallel when we need AC. If we don't need AC, we only run the Companion.

I looked into the Ryobi, but the ratings were were not very good. I ended up buying the Champion inverter/generator.

Looking to charge my batteries only. Rarely use my ac or microwave, even with shore power. But definitely good to know.

Not everyone with an RV and a Honda 2000 are happy with it. a lot of people can't get it to run their air conditioner reliably until they put a "hard-start" kit on it. Your mileage may vary. It seems to work for some and not for others. That's why most RV places recommend at least a 3000 watt gen for people with air conditioners. Buyer beware.

Yes, that's all you need. You won't be able to run the air con and the microwave at the same time, but you'll be fine for just about everything else.

I have that configuration. I'm just unsure if that's all I need to be "good to go." I couldn't find anything like the HD guy was talking about (see earlier post.)

Amazon sells this. it has the exact 30 amp connector of your 30 amp cord, with a 15 amp 3 prong male on the opposite end. hopefully photo works.

I feel like I need a generators for dummies lesson and I am honestly having trouble finding out what I want to know online.
I want to be able to charge my two 6v golf cart batteries when camping for long periods without services.
The generator I am leaning towards is the Ryobi 2300 inverter generator from Home Depot. It ONLY has 2 three pronged 120v 20 amp outlets. It does not have a 30A outlet.
SO...can I just plug my male 30A cord from the trailer into a 30A female to 15A male dogbone and plug the dogbone into the generator, start it up and it will charge my batteries?

I just talked to the guy at Home Depot about adapters and he said I should use a 30A female to 2x120 three prong male (basically a dog bone with a splitter on the male end so that you are utilizing both 120 outlets simultaneously.) Is that right?

I have a Honda EU3000is. I love it. it is the quietest generator I have ever seen. On the downside, its heavy and expensive.
