Some of the models don't look too good for Cedar Key at the moment, although I don't think anyone has a real handle on Irma's path.

The suggestions to hitch up the 'Pod and head north are well intentioned, I'm sure, but the reality is severe congestion on all the major evac routes, so unless you have a good cross country sense, you'll most likely join the masses idling on the interstate until their gas runs out.  And there is no gas.

Our bug out plans also include our R-Pod, but parked snugly inside a steel building designed to 160 mph wind loads.  Reachable in about 10 minutes.  A change of clothes, food for us and the spaniels, water and important financial papers and we're out of harm's way...

Mark, don't think were going to have that much to worry about for us here in central Carolina. Lots of rain and a power outage here and there, maybe. Hopefully not the ghost of Hugo arriving as its daughter Irma this time. At least you shouldn't have to flush to get a drink of water out of the Pod! LOL

Several. Don't use the round, bowl-shaped one for drinking water.

I have a gigunda water bottle that I can fill ahead of emergencies.

It's called the eye-Pod.

Michigan does an outstanding job with their parks.  Never found one we didn't like.

Kinda why I got the eye-Pod. I don't just have a bugout bag. I have a bugout Pod.
