We use a Mr Buddy propane heater in the rpod and in my ice fishing shanty. So far works great. We leave the ceiling fan vent cracked a bit and have a vent in the shanty to protect against fumes.

I bought a "Mr Buddy".  I had to set it next to the door and crack the door so it would remain lit.   I got some heat but I got a lot of cold air through the cracked door.

Since that experience I just use the furnace on the rPod.  The fan is loud but it does the job.

We getting ready for our first extended camp out with our 4-month-old daughter. We have a 2016 177 and we have 4 nights planned at parks with no hook-ups (I've rigged two new 12v batteries). The recent forecast has changed considerably and we are now looking at lows of 40 degrees overnight.

I know that some rPodders use a Mr. Buddy propane heater when dry camping instead of the built-in unit (ours is fairly noisy at night). Has anyone successfully used a portable propane heater inside the pod while sleeping and having a little one on board? I'm a little concerned about fumes and safety running it at night inside. Are there any suggestions for particular units to buy or other ideas while dry camping for all night heat (battery powered)?

Thanks!!
