   Hey Dave.  We just got back from our first visit to Platte River.  It's now our new favorite campground in Michigan.  Sites in campgroud 2 are a bit small.  Pretty close together in campground 1.  Campground 3 had quite a few really nice sized sites with lots of room between each.  Didnt feel like we were on top of the other campers.  Plenty of things to see and do on road trips.  Enjoy your stay there.  Jim

	Looking for info regarding Platte River National Campground, Michigan, by Sleeping Bear Dunes. We are booked for next week beginning with Oct. 8th, in hopes of catching the fall colors and maybe a little fishing. We have been in that area numerous times, all up and down that part of the state on a motorcycle or in my truck. However we have never stayed or been in the campgrounds. With that said, if you know; How would you rate the campgrounds? If you have been there in the fall.....and caught the peak of fall colors, does that area usually have some decent color? We have been to that area in mid summer and this is our first fall trip. Is there anything special I might need to know? Thanks Folks for any and all help and advice. Patriot Dave
