Life is full of risks and ultimately you have a 100% probability of death.

Though common sense is needed for Craigslist interaction, just as it is needed when you go to the mall to buy a pair of shoes, it isn't likely that Craig's list poses any extraordinary risk that is disproportionate to other human activities.
According to a an article in All Business, the chances of being involved in a crime related to Craigslist is 1 in 2,000,000. That's almost as safe in riding in an elevator which is, last I checked, for receiving a treatable injury is about 1 in 3,000,000.
Because of the electronic media, especially the internet, we are bombarded with information that we erroneously extrapolate to the point that we become afraid of our own shadows.
The solution: Go out and enjoy life and don't worry about stuff so much.
