+2 to Keith. If I could put my little finger in an open space I filled it. Also helped with bugs. I have more issues with ants than I do mice.

As well as the dryer sheets I took a can of great stuff and crawled under the pod.  I filled all holes and cracks I could find.  So far so good (6 YEARS).

I use Bounce dryer sheets, Irish Spring Soap, and Earthkind Botanical Rodent Repellant. Seems to be working well so far. ~PP

There are lots of dehumidifiers on the market in addition to the Eva-dry. Comparing them is difficult because the manufacturers don't use the same metrics to describe them. After casually browsing this review, it seems like the larger units are rated at 70 pints, and the most quiet are around 43 dba.

If we get one of these, I guess I am going to be reading a while.

Something I would have never thought of!
I ended up getting the evadry 2200: it may be too big to keep it in while camping but should be good for storage. I can always get a little one for while we’re camping.
Now,mouse control? I’d like to keep the bedding in the camper but I’m worried about mice.

Don't modify it.  It is designed to dump into its own tank.  Worked a boat fire where the owner got tired of going by the marina every other day to dump his so he put a fitting in the tank and ran some 1/4" tubing into the sink.  The unit was designed to cool down when the tank was full.  In his modification it never cooled down, caught fire one day and totaled his new-to-him sailboat that he was getting ready to sail from TN to the gulf.
