The nose has a door on passenger side, I can get things in and out without any problem.

Stephen, I can't  say for sure, I don't keep track of mpg, if I have to keep track of mpg and worry about it, that to me means I can't afford it, plus 50% of people lie about the mpg they get.  But what I did noticed  that it tracks a lot better.

Well Mark, I once got 19.3 mpg ( us gallon ) for about 60 m with a 40mph tale wind. I also think that that was the only time I ever had tale wind.

Improved tracking is a good thing also. I would expect better mileage given the better aerodynamics.

What is the material you used for the exterior? Is it just paint over wood or is it some sort of composite?

So the way I do my main flag is I cut a piece of 2" abs pipe to about 36" long and attached it to my front lift with hose clamps.  I have a flag pole from flags and poles.com and it fits down in the ABS pipe just fine.  The ABS pipe also works to help me back up to the pod.
