Has anybody had success in rigging up or purchasing an extended use generator setup? I have the Honda 2000i and the Companion. There is one online that is expensive and has mixed reviews. Help appreciated.

We're using the IPI Industries dual feed setup. We originally used it for a couple of Ryobis and it didn't work very well, but it works great for our Hondas (same models you have). Since I bought it with Ryobi caps and they wouldn't sell me just the caps for the Hondas, I found a place on eBay that sold CNC aluminum caps with a threaded hole for the coupler. I just had to add the correct coupler for the hose and we were all set.

One issue is if the tank is left out in the sun, enough pressure can build up inside the tank that it'll flood the engine. I keep the tank in the shade of our Pod for that reason. I usually have to open the cap on the tank to release pressure for the first start of the day.
