Was pondering this next season of travel and in my constant effort to always be prepared, I was thinking about some possible on-the-road replacement parts to have on hand.  The first thing that came to mind was the propane tank regulator.  I already have spare water filters.  Just wondering if anyone else carries items like these (I'm sure you do) and what else might be included in this list.....may not be much else.

Unless you know you are not going to be near a place where parts can be purchased as needed, I see no need to try to carry a mobile workshop to cover every contingency. I do carry a tool kit. Parts can be purchased as needed. Sometimes parts go bad that you would never anticipate. I had a propane pigtail hose go bad. The internal valve stuck and was keeping adequate propane from flowing. I had to stop and purchase a new one. I would never have thought that the hose would go bad, but after I replaced the regulator and it still didn't work, I figured out it was the hose instead. A spare filter and spare fuses are lightweight so they can be carried without adding a lot of weight or taking up much space.

I've seen folks carry all sorts of stuff. I carry an extra hitch and ball assembly, I had one stolen once. I know someone who carries a complete hub assembly with brake. Mostly I carry tools and things like some extra wire, connectors, fuses, lug nuts, etc. I also have roadside assistance:) Other than normal stuff, additional hose and power cable, even spare propane tank not mounted on trailer.

We started carrying a battery charger after the converter broke on the road.  Able to get to Sears, buy the charger and run it at campsites with electrical hookup. It saved the trip.

We carry a tool box, with fuses, wire, tire plugs, small compressor, (yes) a spare gas regulator, and some clamps and a few pieces of pecks tubing.
I agree with Stephen pretty much any other stuff I can get at Wal-Mart or a parts or camping store.
We also had a propane tank pig tail go bad on our 171, picked one up at a Lowes and all was good to go!
We do have an extra anode rod and an extra heating element for the hot water heater ( have popped a couple of them) over the years.

If you really get in a jamb for parts and can't find a local retailer, you can order most of what you need from Amazon and similar sellers and get either1 or 2 day shipping.  If you're at an RV park, have it delivered there.  If you're out in the boondocks, you may be able to round up a UPS or FedEx office for delivery, or even a USPS general delivery to Bumpuck and pick the part up there.

Definitely a tool kit with sockets and screwdrivers as well as a small air compressor for airing up the tires.

Pretty simple here, tool kit, spare fuses and a hand tire pump.  That is all.  Have had pod since March 2011 and haven't had to replace anything while traveling.  Now after saying that, maybe I will have to alter that statement this summer.
