Weber makes the hose and nipple you need in one kit, that replaces the regulator, it's about a 15 min chore. The only consideration is the grill no longer has a regulator and so can't be used on a high pressure line. Kit is on Amazon, $32 plus shipping.

I have. I am getting rid of mine this season. Mine caught on fire last fall. I had plenty of water in the "moat" underneath, so I don't want to take any chances with it.
