We're new owners of a 171. We live in Florida in the winter, and Colorado in the summer Smile

rpups - I see you have a Jeep as your avatar.  TerryM is an avid Jeep off-roader, too.

Hoping to be in your area soon - seeing a shuttle launch is on my to-do list.  After several decades of opportunities, obviously I'm down to 2 more chances...

If you have any pointers (location to view, etc), I'm all ears.

You get a decent view from anywhere in this area, but the best views (without inside connections to the launch site itself) are on Cocoa Beach and the causeways (SR 520 & SR 528) crossing the Indian River. Better get here early on the day of the launch, as the crowds will be phenomenal, because of the last chances to see a shuttle launch - this last launch saw interstate back-ups we've never seen before. If you bring your Pod a few days early and camp, there are a few good parks on the river that will give you incredible views, and you can even take a canoe onto the river to watch the launch, which is quite a treat.
