I wanted to use the quick disconnect on my new RP 180, but after reading the posts it seems like I would have to use a BBQ without a regulator. My little portable Weber grill has a regulator built in, so I would have to either modify it or buy a new grill. So from what I gather from this thread that running two regulators in line would drastically reduce the flame? Is that correct?

I have a 5 gallon BBQ tank but my wife is adamant on not bringing it for traveling because of the extra weight and (she claims) the danger of a five gallon propane tank in the shell of the truck.

I guess the small disposable bottles would work better for a two week trip.

Now the question is: Where do I get a hose with the quick connect fitting on one end and the grill connection on the other?
I called five local RV dealers and none of them have it.

OldNeumanntapr,

You are correct, it is a low pressure line, can't have 2 regulators.

Tom A,

Coleman makes a hose specifically for their products, Camping World has it. Weber does also.

You can also Google "convert Coleman to low pressure" and watch a dozen youtube videos of changing over, most with parts lists, or kit links.. I converted our "fold and go", just because I could, and bought the "kit" for our Blackstone.

Has anybody ever seen a gas stove without a regulator?  I have a 2 burner PRIMUS and unless they make a small regulator that is in line at the connection, it doesn't have one.  At least it doesn't have one like I'm used to seeing.

Yes, CAMCO makes one, it's the Olympian 5500 Stainless steel. Comes with a mounting bracket, connect hose for low pressure and a storage bag. Available on Amazon for around 180.
