Getting the POD level

   I know the anchors/legs can't be used for leveling. The fore/aft is easy enough with a carpenter's level and using the tonque jack. How do you level Port/Starboard?

	I bought a Bal Leveler which fits around the tire. It lifts the tire and thus the whole side of the Pod. But it does get messy if the ground is soft and muddy. I use the tongue jack as the third leg. I use the four corner 'levelers' just to provide stability to keep the Pod from rocking.

	I carry boards with me left over from the deck we built on the back of the house. I pull up on them the level. I had a Bal Leveler a while back with a popup and one weekend in the rain it decided it was going to sink in the ground. what a PIA it was getting it out. since then have used the boards.

	Thanks. I've ordered a Ball Leveler. I camp at Dog Shows or Kennel Clubs, most often on some sort of pavement so the Ball Leveler will work well for me. I'll also carry a thin board of some sort and if I'm on dirt, I'll put it under the low wheel. SHHHHH, don't tell Mike I spent more money on RV'ing.

	I forgot to mention that I put plastic 'pads' under the corner levelers to keep them from sinking and standing in water when a campsite is soft. I have a couple of extra pads and place them beneath the Bal leveler when needed. As mentioned above, it keeps the Bal leveler from sinking and clean.

	We use scrap lumber. I usually use a hydraulic jack to raise the low side and slip the boards under the low wheel. I also use scraps under the corner jacks. The lumber does tend to warp and crack sometimes. My buddy has these plastic yellow pads about a half inch thick that look like oversized LEGOS, I think there's 10 or so in a zippered bag. I'll probably get some of them eventually, but it just hasn't worked its way to the top of the list yet. .

	I have not gotten the plastic blocks yet as I have alot of the scrap wood still and hate getting rid of something that is useful. They look nice and I have seen many people use them. Also I made wood wheel chocks instead of buying them.

	I've been doing the wood board thing for years, now I have a few of the "legos" but sometimes I still use the boards. I have 2 different thicknesses so I can fine-tune, which is why the legos don't always get used. I always use a level on the floor of the 'pod before I've backed up the final foot or so and add the thickness I think I need.

	I have not had very good luck using the 'lego'-type plastic pads. I have had several different brands and they all have turned brittle in just a couple of years. They literally crumble.
