We are headed to White Sulphur Springs, Montana this weekend with our Hood River 177 for the Red Ants Pants music festival.
Stop by and say hello if you are there and see us, or rather see the Rpod.
And if you aren't there, you are sure missing out on a beautiful music festival and boondock camping event under the Montana Big Sky.
We are going there once again to enjoy the people who show up, and for the place, and also superb music like Junior Brown and Dwight Yoakam, and Pam Tillis and  Lorrie Morgan and Jim Lauderdale, and many other artists that  make it special.  Amazing event in a town that contains about a thousand year around residents.  About six thousand souls will show up for the festival.
Beautiful celebration of western life and music in Montana way out there on a perfect hillside concert ranch with mountains in the background.
One of the reasons we bought our Rpod was to not have to sleep in a tent at such events.  We love our Hood River Rpod!

We saw and counted 10 R Pod's there, no doubt there were more hidden behind the behemoth RV rigs.  Conservative estimate of 1200 Rvs and tent campers packed into the ranch grounds.
2014, the last time we were there, were about 1/4 the people and Rv's and I believe we had the only Rpod there. It was cool this year to see so many pod's, but we didn't get to talk to any of the owners since they were gone to the festival grounds while we were walking by. Several folks toured ours, and the bag ice guy stopped by and said he'd just purchased a 2014 HRE 177.   Great time, too many campers packed in there though, about five feet apart--amazing scene out there on the ranch!, and Junior Brown and Dwight Yoakum put on fantastic memorable concerts.  The furnace kicked on two mornings, early a.m., and it was set at well below 60.  The nights low temps there got in the mid 40's, the tent campers were late morning risers.
